Skip stages:
You can skip stages by jumping up in the air and do
a circle kick. Then quickly press A and then Start. 
Now you'll move on to the next stage. If you don't
wanna play this stage then repeat the procedure.

Continue During 4th/5th Missions: During the GAME OVER 
screen, quickly press Up, Down, Left, Right, B, A and Start.
